Defence Attorney Mark Waldron who represented King made another bail application which was denied.

The prosecution argued that if granted bail, there is a likelihood that the accused would interfere with the witness and tamper with the investigation.

On Thursday last, King was not required to plead to the indictable charge of carnal knowledge when it was read to him by the acting chief magistrate and was remanded to prison.

The allegation was that on October 7, the accused had carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 15.
