Parabara gets $500,000 to build walkway, landing

Parabara, an Amerindian community located in the Deep South Rupununi has received a capital grant of $500,000 from the Amerindian ministry to build a walkway and landing.

According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release Minister Pauline Sukhai recently visited the Region Nine community to hand over the cheque to Toshao Ekufa Mewsha.

Parabara is a remote community where residents have been engaged in efforts to boost their livelihood. Sukhai said the investment is in keeping with development efforts.
