Republic Bank (Guyana) appoints three new managers

In a media release, the Bank said Sears holds diplomas from the Institute of Commercial Management in Marketing, Psychology, Quantitative Methods for Managers and International Business Communications.  He was appointed Officer-in-Charge of the Linden Branch on September 18, 2009 and began his career with Republic Bank on September 30, 1996. He has served at several of the bank’s branches in a number of capacities and is currently pursuing the Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom.

Davis assumed her new post on November 30, 2009 after being manager of the bank’s Corriverton Branch. Her extensive tenure with the bank, the release said, includes exposure at every level, particularly in a leadership capacity in recent years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies, both from the University of Guyana. Mrs. Davis is at present completing studies towards a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of London.

McDonald, the new manager of the Rose Hall Branch, was appointed to that position on October 1, 2009 after gaining much banking experience, particularly in Retail Credit and Branch Management since joining the bank on August 8, 1994.

He holds a Diploma in Accounting from the Association of Accounting Technicians and a Diploma from the Institute of Canadian Bankers. McDonald  has served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Linden branch and  preceding this he was the Assistant Officer-in-Charge of the Anna Regina Branch.
