Corentyne man killed in road accident

A resident of Number 54 Village, Corentyne is now dead, after being struck down by a motor car on Sunday.

The dead man is 49-year-old Vishnu Sugrim.

According to a police press release, Sugrim was riding his bicycle along the roadway when he reportedly attempted to cross the road and ended up in the path of an oncoming motor car and was struck down. He was pronounced DOA at the Skeldon Hospital.

The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
