Police recover stolen gun in alleyway

A gun, which was stolen from a licensed firearm holder in November, was discovered by police on Wednesday in an alley at North East La Penitence.

In a press statement, police said a search was conducted in an alleyway at the Georgetown location at approximately 2.45pm and the .32 Taurus pistol along with a magazine and four matching rounds were found.

The firearm, police said, has been traced as belonging to a licensed firearm holder who was attacked and robbed on November 23, 2009, in South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
