Two held over armed robbery on Brazilian

Two men have been arrested as police probe the robbing of a Brazilian woman who was attacked by gun-toting men as she was about to enter her Kitty home on Tuesday.

Police said in a press statement that Brazilian national Bellina Meta Silva was attacked and robbed by two men armed with handguns at about 12:10 pm on Tuesday. Investigations revealed that the victim was about to enter her home when she was confronted by the two men who held her at gunpoint and took away her shoulder bag which contained 7 pennyweight of raw gold and $182,000. The men escaped in a waiting motor vehicle, the police said.

According to the statement, a member of the public informed the police of the number of the motor car used in the robbery, PMM 422, which was later intercepted by law enforcement officials and two men arrested. They are in custody assisting with the investigations.
