The Alliance For Change (AFC) spread Christmas cheer to a number of needy children across the country which culminated with a grand party hosted at the St Stanislaus College on Saturday.

Nicola Trotman, wife of AFC leader Raphael Trotman organised the grand party where about 150 children were feted, the release said. More than 1500 toys were distributed to children in Mahdia, Lethem, Bartica, New Amsterdam, Essequibo Coast, Linden, Corentyne, West Coast Berbice, Pomeroon, Hague, Kwakwani, Moruca and in Georgetown as party representatives fanned out across the country to celebrate the season with children.

The exercise started in Mahdia where despite heavy rainfall, the women of Campbelltown assembled at the Amerindian Hostel where Latchmin Punalall MP, taught them to make roti and curry.

The AFC extended gratitude to its supporters for their generous donations which contributed to the success of the event. It also thanked the children and families countrywide for allowing it to celebrate the festive season with them.
