Guard found dead at Guyana Stores

Two men were discovered dead at various locations in the city yesterday morning but no foul play is suspected.

At around 5:45 am, Sewnarine Shivbolak, 69, of Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was discovered dead at Guyana Stores Limited where he worked as a security guard.

Investigators told this newspaper yesterday that when the man was discovered there were no marks of violence on the body but they are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination which is expected to be performed today.

The body was taken to the Lyken’s Funeral Home.

Several hours later, the body of a man who persons identified as ‘Breezer’ was discovered on the pavement outside the Salt and Pepper restaurant on Croal Street.

According to persons in that area, the man had been sleeping there for sometime now and early yesterday morning when he woke, he began crying out for pains in his side. He was later discovered dead.
