Police in squibs warning

The Guyana Police Force yesterday issued a reminder to the public that the importation and/or sale of squibs or firecrackers without the relevant licence approved by the competent authority are in contravention of the Explosives Act Chapter 16:02.

In a press release yesterday, the Force said that this reminder also applies to the use of such articles (squibs and firecrackers).
It added that the police will be vigilant in this regard with a view to identifying and prosecuting offenders.
