NY Guyanese freshman missing

The online newspaper Long Island Press.com yesterday reported that an 18-year-old man of Guyanese descent has gone missing in New York.

Sean Wagner

The newspaper said that Sean Wagner of Uniondale, a freshman at the Nassau Community College vanished on November 19, 2009. He was last seen on the Garden City Campus at 6 pm, his family told the newspaper.

His grandmother, Anne Wagner, told the newspaper that his Christmas gift was still under the tree.

She said that Sean had been planning a party for the Caribbean Students Organization that was scheduled for that day but never showed up. The college is around two miles from his home, the report said.

The grandmother said “to be lost between there and here don’t add up… I’m trying to put the pieces together and they just don’t fit”.

The family has tried his cell phone ever since but it goes straight to voice mail. It has asked that anyone with information should call Anne Wagner at 516-481-6746
