Republic Bank has appointed Keith Johnson managing director of its Grenada branch following a banking career of just over three decades at its offices.

In a press release the Bank said Johnson joined its staff on August 18, 1976 and has gained a wealth of knowledge and valuable experience in almost every aspect of its operation. He has functioned in several managerial positions which have resulted in a strong knowledge base in Branch Operations the Bank said.

Prior to this appointment Johnson was Senior Manager, Corporate and Management Services. He was also seconded to the Bank’s subsidiaries in Grenada and the Dominican Republic in 2005 and 2006 respectively with responsibility for Bank Operations, the release said.

Johnson holds an Executive Masters (MBA) in Business Administration, a BSc in Accountancy from the University of Guyana and a Diploma in Banking from the Association of Canadian Bankers.
The appointment becomes effective January 2, 2009.
