Managing Director Hemraj Kissoon told Stabroek Business that the company has begun to manufacture its own sturdy, customized shopping bags and is recommending the initiative to the rest of the business community.

Kissoon said that he believed that the business community as a whole should embrace positive environmental initiatives as a way to lending support to President Bharrat Jagdeo’s efforts to internationalize Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy. (LCDS)

The Guyanese entrepreneur told Stabroek Business that his company can make fabric available to enterprising small business operators who may wish to approach businesses in the commercial sector to secure contracts for the manufacture    of customized shopping bags.

At least one major supermarket, Nigel’s, has already introduced its own fabric shopping bags.
