I am a young graduate and daily i see Guyana going no where fast. I at times feel obligated to try to make a difference but ever so often hearing about the ongoing corrupt practices of this administration, makes me want to shut shop and leave. There are so many unanswered questions about issues that affect our economic and social well being. These answers must be sought from those who the majority voted to work for us. There were days of protest, i guess because our politics has changed our protest methods must also change. I would like those readers of this article to join in spreading the word. It must come to a point where we agree that enough is enough, at 730hrs on Mondays and Fridays lets stop our cars, vans, busses, motor bikes for 2 minutes with horns blaring, thats all just 2 minutes with horns blaring. that would be our protest action againt the mismanagement of our Country’s affairs. Guyana has too many resources and free from most natural disasters that paving a highway with lights, making a four lane etc. is seen as a major achievement. I am pretty sure that our resentment towards this administartion’s bad governance practices would be heard across seas we need a collective and consistent effort. Spread the word.

….corruption has been at it’s zenith since “1984″ and has continued unabated !…..

if u r “able” to “reason” with a modicum of intelligence ,, u may be “able” to realise that the govt was changed in ‘92/93 the results of “free & fair” democratically controlled elections !

but here’s de kicker ,, tho ,, the GOVT that was the creator of what now ails de entire country was “removed” ,,, it is impossible to remove what has become inherent in the populace
it is now a cancer ,, one that has metastasised and has blanketed the entire country !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People who vote for the present administration will not have to read SN editorials to do so they know that most editorials are biased against the govt so that they can get the readership in line with their agenda of support for the political party of their liking this time being the AFC,people who puts country first and want to see development will vote with their conscience, that is why the PPP never lost an election but instead are increasing their support,be fair and dont use the axe on this one SN

President’s response (onKhan)”Dissipointedly dismissive”. Who says ? Why folks, its “Fabbroek News” . They want answers to suit their continuing milking of the Khan thing with all its FABrications and gossipy details..
“Questions have resufaced” BY whom ? Fabbroek News, get real and stop trying to fabricate stories where there are none and being too one sidede.
Let’s give credit to intelligence of readers who note the President’s willingness to meet with journalists and his openess at news (not “press”) conferences.No matter wha the President do, he gon get criticism from Fabbroek News. If he walked on water from Stabroek Market cross the river to Vreed en Hoop , the paper would say he can’t swim…

How can anyone read this editorial and not conclude that the government is corrupt? If the private media don’t have the guts to say the government is corrupt, then the private media are aiding and abetting the government by being silent. No amount of subtle writing will help make the case against this government that is always in full spin mode. We have to be brutally blunt and forcefully frank!

This administration has shown clearly that it cannot be trusted. It is incompetent to deal objectively with matters involving individuals and groups that do not share its political views.The PPP/C is committed to holding on to power at all costs and will mislead the masses of its supporters to do so.

Guyana will not progress under tired,shady, visionless leadership of the kind being provided by this administration.The press,civic society,opposition parties have a role to defend the dignity of a people who over the years have tolerated too much for too long.
