One Down More to Go.

I have been an ardent advocate of Rstructuring of CARICOM since the Contention arising out of the Signing of the EU/CRNM/EPA. With the current change in that Body (CRNM) and the removal of its head (Gill) we have achieved at least one change. There are more to come. Several of the Units in the CARICOM Structure have been operating virtually independently of supervision, and apparently without progress reports.

A look at the Whole Structure will reveal a number of acronymns purporting to facilitate some form of the much needed Integration the body was set up to further or in their language "Fast Tract" After over thirty years of operation marked by the recently ended Thirtieth Meetings in Guyana hosted by President Jagdeo, only CRNM has seen a significant initial change following its EPA negotiation failures which gained international criticism.

Let this be the start of a much needed total restructuring of all the tiers in the CARICOM structure with meaningful supervision, transparency and accountability

Take a dead horse to the Caricom leaders meeting in Guyana.Ask them to flog it and see what happens. CARIGONE not Caricom
Fifty years ago Jainarine Singh proclaimed that Guyana had a continental destiny but the leaders are still flogging that dead horse. If caricom did not work when Errol Barrow Forbes Burnham Vere Bird Eric Williams Bradshaw and Sonny Ramphal tried to create uniy could thes present short term politicians achieve any success?.They have to spend their energy trying to retain their seats
Only in Guyana with proportional representation we could see those deadwood for years. REintroduce first past the post system of elections and find out how many former members of parliament would run to Barbados India ha ha U.S.A U.K or even Saudi Arabia
Open our borders to our contental neighbours revalue our currency and you will see the mad rush of caribbean people to guyana
This is NOT a dream this is REALITY TRY IT
