Somehow this highlights the thrust of your article on the new coarseness in the character of the Guyanese citizen. This propensity to use violence against each other is spreading and I fear will lead to our “big bang moment”. There is a sense of hopelessness in one segment of the population and like a cat with his back against the wall, with no more room for retreat, that cat will go into attack mode. Guyana is approaching that state and I fear for my country.
