Dear Editor,

At this time when there is so much justified compassion and feeling in the air, it may be a good time to raise once more the issue of Mrs Hoyte’s pension, or for a clear official statement on it.

I know my country well. For some this will be in the bad taste of a country boor. Well then, remove the cause.

Yours faithfully,
Eusi Kwayana

It shows the hypocrisy of political leaders in Guyana and the Guyanese masses, a loud cry about Janet and a deafening silence about Hoyte pension.
Is Hoyte the scape goat for the PPPC’s lack of good leadership, is he punished for having what the PPPC leadership does not have.

Very good point Eusi, what about Mrs. Hoyte’s pension is the PPP in this aura of all good wishes going to wake up have some class and give this woman her fair due?

  4. Macushi UNITED STATES says:

I am for the human rights but I think it is unfair for us to write a letter from abroad (Mr Eusi is abroad) without finding out whether Mrs Hoyte got her pension. The last time this came up – I suggested that we deal with it directly with the people in charge. Other wise we are not helping the situation – one let’s ask ourselves -’ how many Guyanese are reading these blogg?’.
I sound like I am for People’s PePe = NO! What I am saying is that if I am fighting for a cuase my first task would be to find out the fact from the source before trying to find out through a means of a letter.
Let me repeat (from the last time)- Mrs Hoyte indeed should be in receipt of her pension like anyone else and it’s rights as a former First Lady.

  5. YesToBharat UNITED STATES says:

    Shame on You Eusi!

  6. This contradicts what ms. jagan stands for, if she was a champion for women’s cause did she fight for mrs. hoyte to get her pension before she passed, i said give mrs. hoyte her husband’s pension.

  7. SOL UNITED STATES says:

I have yet to hear her say that she is not recieving financial support. Everything is is just endless yapping about information one knows NOTHING about.

  8. Raj UNITED STATES says:

Pay Mrs. Hoyte her pension NOW!

  9. caesar agustus UNITED STATES says:

Her husband was not an elected president of Guyana. Sorry. No amount of bullying would get this historical fact changed.
