Dear Editor,
The recent events in Uncle Eddie’s Home are regrettable and unfortunate. A guard employed by RK’s Security Service was killed while on duty and the police have deemed this murder. In the edition of May 29, 2009 of the Stabroek News, I was appalled that Mr Roshan Khan was reported as saying that the service given to the home was charitable. I pointed out to Mr Khan that the service was not free when I spoke to him. He then explained that he was giving us a service at a reduced rate and thus it was charitable in his view. I wish to thank Mr Khan for his now former service to the home and to let him know that even if a service is given at a reduced rate, it should not be a reduced service. The service must be the service given elsewhere, but at a reduced rate.
I therefore take umbrage at the reported lack of facilities given to the guard to do her job, which from the account in Stabroek News is demeaning to her in death. I hope Mr Khan will try to take some responsibility for the situation that claimed that young woman’s life.
Yours faithfully,
Denise Boodie
President
Committee of
Uncle Eddie’s Home

This guy is as shameless as the devouring monsters of this impoverished country.
He should concentrater more on running his business efficiently rather than attacking other businesses such as Star-lite driving etc.
