The Lions Club of Central Demerara recently held its annual Christmas party for children from East Bank Demerara communities. In a press release the Club said “Four hundred tickets were distributed to schools from Eccles to Craig.” The children were feted at an afternoon filled with singing, dancing and poetry recitals. Additionally, the Club also hosted a party for differently-able children at the Diamond Special Needs School in addition to its usual party at its den.
