The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport presented fifty chess sets recently to ten secondary schools in its effort to have the game played among our youths. Minister of Sport, Dr Frank Anthony, has said that over time chess equipment would be widely distributed to all the ten regions of Guyana to ensure there is, literally, a national touch to the game.
