Mid-afternoon plunge: This ambulance plunged nose first into the canal at Lamaha and Albert streets yesterday afternoon after a speeding minibus slammed into it. At the time the ambulance was transporting a nurse and 57-year-old patient Balram Budhu. However, no one sustained any serious injuries. Meanwhile, the minibus hit two little girls as it turned on to Lamaha Street. Seven-year-old Jania Roberts, and six-year-old Vashti Deonarine were taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), treated and sent away. (Photo by Jules Gibson)
