The Guyana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists yesterday donated a quantity of items to the Ministry of Human Services & Social Security for children living in orphanages around the country. The donation was made possible by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) International which sent a container of gifts for the children. Country Director of ADRA, Pastor Alexander Issacs reported that the items shipped in shoe boxes were based on needs identified by the Guyana office which then sent a list to ADRA/UK. In this photograph Pastor Issacs (centre) is seen handing over some of the items to Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Trevor Thomas while President of the Guyana’s conference, Dr Hilton Garnett looks on. The donation was made at the conference’s Peter Rose Street location. (Jules Gibson photo)
