The Guyanese Women in Development (Guywid) group in Berbice continues to reach out to the less fortunate and recently donated a quantity of clothing to persons at depressed communities in New Amsterdam. The clothing was handed over to the group by Shri Prakash Gossai during a fund-raising concert and variety show on behalf of the Bhuvaneshwar Mandir in New York. Gossai, according to Guywid member Annie Sadhoo, was the “main artiste” at the concert. He also presented a drum and harmonica to the group for the Maha Sabha Mandir in New Amsterdam.
