Refurbished Houston Community High handed over

Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited on June 1 handed over the refurbished Houston Community High School at a special General Assembly.
A release from the bank said that the $1.4M project was executed over the last five months and entailed the installation of new lockers and the supply of furniture for the staffroom as well as 60 pairs of desks and chairs for students. The school’s canteen was also done over and the fence painted.
20090611refurbishedRepublic Bank said that the initiative came under its Power to Make a Difference programme. The official handing over of the school was made to Headmaster Chetram Jaglall. Ministry of Education Representative, Lynette Browne Moonsammy was also on hand.
