A resident of Croal Street is appealing to the police to remove the bus stop sign they placed in front of her property which now hinders her free ingress and egress from her home. Zenell Shah told Stabroek News that she was overseas when the bus stop sign was painted in front of her gate and since her return she has been attempting to get the police to remove the sign. She now has to contend with people standing on her bridge as they await transportation and buses stopping ever so often in front of her gate. In 2007 the woman was granted permission to place a no-parking sign in front of her gate by the City Engineers Department. Shah said that recently she was both physically and verbally assaulted when she asked persons to remove from her gateway. In this photograph a minibus is seen at the bus stop in front of the woman’s driveway. (Jules Gibson photo)
