Recent heavy rains in the Rupununi have caused this section of road at Mora Point on the Linden-Lethem trail to collapse. Chairman of Region Nine, Clarindo Lucas had told this newspaper on Thursday that it was being repaired. Other sections of the trail have also been flooded and parts washed away. Additionally, last week, a culvert on the road leading to the Deep South Rupununi was also washed away. That, too, is undergoing repairs. Residents have complained about substandard work being done.
