The Ministry of Education yesterday held a Health Fair at the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) ground as part of its Education Month activities. The fair featured different groups showcasing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and the harmful effects of an unhealthy one. Speeches were made by the Education Minister Shaik Baksh among others. Many of the students who were present could be seen collecting as many flyers, posters and other handouts as they could, paying avid attention and asking questions of the booth attendants. Some students said that they learnt a lot and many were very interested in the poster that depicted the effects of smoking on the human body.
