These tall ginger lilies (in background) were among a variety of other plants and flowers on show yesterday at the Umana Yana at the Horticultural Society of Guyana’s garden show and exhibition. The lilies grow to a height of about eight feet within about six weeks depending on the soil type. In front is a variety of gingers, orchids and crown of thorns. The show saw scores of people purchasing plants to add to their own collections. (Photo by Jules Gibson)
