16?? What the heck? She should be in school getting an education. It is imperative that parents take stock of their child(ren) life. At that age I will still be all in my kids face monitoring his/her actions in and out of my home.

  4. Joe UNITED STATES says:

This reminds me of the young Palastinian girls who decided to turn themselves into suicide bombers. When people have nothing else to lose they lose it.

The administration is living in a fish bowl, they do not realize that these incidents are manifestations of hopelessness and anger.

It is going to get worst, there is going to be more and more organised criminal gangs, both men and women, there is going to be more kipnappings, drugs and mayhem.

This is not only denegration of the society it is also the havenots having no other alternative but to grab what ever they could from the haves.

Guyana has got to address this problem in the only way they can, put these young people to work on community farms.

Look at all the battered women they now want to put into protective housing to sit there feeling sorry for themselves and licking their emotional wounds.

Stop following the American model of everything. America can afford these institutions because of pork barrel funding.

Most of these women are country girls. Tough, productive and hard working, why pen them up in a building doing nothing. All over the third world, it is the women who are the farmers and land producers.

Start community farms, teach these women to make rammed earth houses for themselves. How to make pickles, preserves and dried fruits and vegetables. I have already explained my poor man’s barrel and bamboo irrigation system in an earlier blog.

I will send these women my farming method which I call the “Fat poor lazy man’s method of farming” I will demonstrate that with a simple cordless reversible drill they can irrigate their fields, plough and weed their plant beds and still grow long nails with cutex and still outproduce the conventional farmer.

Give these women a few computers and teach them Sketchup so that they will learn an architectural skill and get to build a real house for themselves all at the same time. The software is free on the internet and is userfriendly.

Create jobs or create crime, the choice is yours.

    Joe.

Joe you always seem to have a good idea, I imagine you are from the older generation. IDLE BRAINS IS THE DEVIL’S WORK-SHOP.These criminals should be assessed, because I still believe that there has to be a reason for their behaviour.Frustration is most certainly one of the main causes.
These youngsters should be put on WORK-STUDY in whatever field they excel. There has to be some thing they are cabable of besides crime, give them a FAIR not a SECOND chance in life. You have mentioned a whole lot of things that they could do and that is what the gov. should invest in. Prisoners/criminals should be disciplined in a respectable way and if they cannot learn then they should face the conciquences.
I cannot imagine one in their sound mind doing these CRAZY THINGS

Joe, yuh remember that story about the lazy man and his gold? It was about a man who was so lazy that even if someone cooked for him he was too lazy to serve himself and rather to remain hungry. One day, a fairy put three bags of gold on the other side of the river opposite the man’s hut, while he was sitting on a bench wishing he was rich. There was a log lying across the river, and the man crossed it to get to the bags. Do you remember the rest of the story? Many people are still like that, it makes no sense teaching them to fish, they prefer you give them the fish, preferably fried…

My…my…a teenager and a girl at that.

If she did it she must have had terrible hatred of the proprietress to stoop
    to such a dastardly act.

“The unrepresented teen was remanded until July 27.”…what?
No pro-bono lawyer in Court could stand up and say something?

I hope the proprietress recovers fully.
