Lake Mainstay Resort will host its 9th Annual Regatta  at its freshwater lake on Sunday, August 16 starting at 10:00am and prizes will be awarded   to the top three competitors in each race category.

The resort said in a press release that special incentives will be awarded also to the champion racers in Group One and Two categories.

In addition, there will be a two-hour stage show with artistes  and a fashion wear display with designers from Essequibo.

And for the children there will be activities such as the Ferris  wheel, merry-go-round, trampoline, children’s castle and lots of beach attractions for the entire family.

The cultural show is scheduled to commence immediately after the boat racing events at 3:00pm, the release added.

    Why is there a regatta only at Mainstay. Why not have one on also No 63 Beach, and the Kitty beach?
