New Zealand consultant killed

(Jamaica Gleaner) – The police are trying to find the gunman who shot and killed a New Zealand consultant in St Andrew last night.

The incident took place at a guesthouse in the upscale community known as Golden Triangle last night.

Police say 27-year-old Tiki Hunia, a resident of Hong Kong, was at the guesthouse with his wife, when the gunman walked up to him and demanded his mobile phone.

However Hunia refused and was shot three times.

His wife also present was not harmed.

Last week, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) reported that 740 people were murdered since the start of the year.
