LIAT drops CLICO

(Barbados Nation) CLICO has voiced disappointment over LIAT’s decision to withdraw its pension funds, but says that the company will rise to the occasion.

President of CLICO Barbados, Terrence Thornhill, said on Wednesday that it was the insurance company’s hope that the airline would have continued to “partner” with them.

“One of the bases for disappointment is that over the past few months we’ve been, I think, very effective at communicating with our policy-holders and certainly in terms of convincing them about the desirability of the company and we’ve been getting . . . tremendous support, from both large and small policy-holders,” he said in an interview on Voice Of Barbados.
