Commuters can help themselves when dealing with mini-bus operators

Dear Editor,

It is with much disappointment that I read about mini-bus operators holding the general public at ransom. Their ignorance and aggressive attitudes will not last for too long. There are little ways that one can help to combat their lawlessness and self-proclaimed ‘King of the Road’ mentalities. Commuters can try to be apart of a car pooling system that ensures a sure and safe trip to and from work. This system can be coordinated with work, colleagues, family, neighbours and friends.  Be selective of which bus you enter whenever the time permits. Be vocal in your observations and with respect to your discomfort.  Imagine if a combined effort were made by the majority to act as suggested, what a difference we could make.

Yours faithfully,
S Fung
