Change of tactics towards Cuba

Dear Editor,

When I was going to school I read this story about the wind and the sun both wanting to get a man to take off his coat. The wind first tried by blowing and blowing, and the more the wind blew the tighter the man wrapped himself in his coat. Then when it was the sun’s turn to do its thing, it simply warmed the man and he took off his coat.

Well in the case of Cuba, most of the American presidents, except Carter and Clinton, behaved like the wind towards the island; Obama is behaving like the sun.

Yours faithfully,
W.P. George
