How many are willing to share the benefits of a better Guyana?

Dear Editor,
Which party should replace the PPP?  On what basis should we select this party?  Anything but the PPP? Race? Class? Age? Looks? Academic qualifications? Track record? Promises?

Some people say that it is better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven. Is this true for both political leaders and their followers? Granted the Government has many failures, but what is the real proof that another party could have inherited our problems in 1992 and moved us significantly ahead of where we are today?   How do we overcome our attitudes, infrastructure, extremely limited financial and human resources to progress at a faster pace? How many people are willing to cooperate, unite and share the benefits of a better Guyana?
Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
