Mr Bisram needs to provide more data about his polls

Dear Editor,
Many diehard PPP supporters will not see the necessity for transparency of any sort in delivering sensitive data dealing with the politics of Guyana. Any Guyanese familiar with PPP propaganda in Guyana will see the need to demand credible evidence for polls relating to our country.

A majority of people in Guyana want Mr Bisram to produce proper and credible evidence that he is conducting polls in a manner that is deemed suitable and impartial for a multicultural and multiethnic country like Guyana. Legitimate questions we must ask include: Where are Mr Bisram’s workers who collect the poll information, and who are they and where are they located  – in Guyana or New York? Can he give evidence about the people (qualifications, etc) who compile the data and say how the statistical analysis was done? What is the percentage error in his poll? What are the questions asked and how do they arrive at their conclusions? Can he provide a sample of questions asked during the last poll or any poll? It is evident that transparency is needed and it is equally important that we can access these data to see how Mr Bisram arrived at some of his conclusions. Further his friends, like Mr Boodram, must know that any legitimate pollster does provide his company’s information (staff, location, qualifications, etc) and details with regard to his or their protocols.

This is particularly necessary when one enters the sensitive political arena of Guyana.  We hope that Mr Bisram provides answers to the questions asked, since they are fair questions and reasonable requests. If he cannot comply (provide credible evidence), then his analyses and poll conclusions will continue to be deemed compromised and counter-productive.
Yours faithfully,
Anand Daljeet
