Run-around to get pension

Dear Editor,

I worked with the Ministry of Works from 1964 to 1980, General Construction Company from 1990 to1998, and the National Parks Commission from 1998 to 2005. I attained the age of sixty years on April 29, 2004, and applied for my NIS pension in September 2004. After many run arounds I was called in March 2006 to collect payment without an analysis. I told the PRO that the payment was incorrect for the number of contributions I had paid. On March 24, 2006, I appealed the matter because the years 1989-2003 were inadvertently left out of my NIS record. I then gave them the relevant information in writing for the period 1989-2003 from the Ministry of Works and the National Parks Commission. I paid NIS from 1969 to 2003, and to date I am still being given the run-around.

Yours faithfully,
Inshan Ally
