Dear Editor,

To the other members of the technical and management staff and most importantly, the players, I extend with pride, sincerity and gratitude, congratulations on our collective performance in the recent Independence Football Tournament, where Guyana for the first time in its footballing history, was crowned champion of a regional/international football event.

I am forced to publicly congratulate myself and the other members of the touring party on their stellar performance, because the silence and indifference meted out to us upon our return and which is still being displayed by all stakeholders is deafening.
