We require writers to give their real name, full address and a contact number when sending letters to be considered for publication. The name of a correspondent can be withheld for publication purposes if so requested, but we still need to be able to establish identity.
We routinely edit for libel, grammar, syntax, prolixity, taste, etc, and as a general rule we will not print a letter which has already appeared in another newspaper.
