The Antiguan government sold property to Allen Stanford for which they received payment. The government also received loans from Allen Stanford all of which were paid for by the victims of Allen Stanford’s massive ponzi scheme.
It is truly unbeleivable that any government believes it is conscionable to seize the land without paying the going market rate to Stanford’s victims who paid for the land in the first place. Again the loans made to the Antiguan government by Stanford should be honoured.

How do you think the rest of the world views a country that seizes back asstes that have been paid for only to sell them a second time for further profit. Do you really believe any country would do business with such a country?

Gaston Brown should remember Antigua benefited from Allen Stanford’s fraud and Leroy King chairman of the FSRC allegedly took bribes from Allen Stanford to prevent the SEC from uncovering the fraud. It is clear Leroy King might not have operated alone but regardless of how many more government officials are exposed the government is implicated.

Antigua’s stance of telling the victims of Stanford “It is their fault because they are greedy” and the problem is nothing to do with Antigua just enrages the 28,000 victims world wide.
