Hasnoo wins first cycle event in Berbice

Wazim Hasnoo won the Flying Ace Cycle Club (FACC) organized cycle road race, the first of its kind in Berbice for 2009, last Sunday.
The event which pedaled off from the Number 46 Village Corentyne and proceeded to Main and Alexander Street in New Amsterdam for the finish, saw Hasnoo completing the 30 miles in a time of 1hr:20 min from Shane Jaundoo and Gary Benjamin.

Wilbert Benjamin, Sherwin Giddings and Frank Crawford occupied the other three top positions to finish off the top six places, whilst Hasnoo took home five of the six sprint prizes on offer, with Jaundoo taking the other.

The race was sponsored by some overseas based Guyanese, former cyclist and members of FACC, with the club taking  time out to thank all those who supported and sponsored them during last year, with the Guyana Police Force coming in for honourable mention.
