Today national football player Kayode McKinnon will attempt to run from the Soesdyke junction of the Linden/Soesdyke Highway to the Minibus Park in Linden, a distance of approximately 40 miles.

The run, according to McKinnon, is to build awareness of children in Guyana who are affected or infected by  HIV/AIDS.

He said that he is pursuing  this venture specially for the children who are being cared for by the “Hands of Love” organization in Linden.
Speaking with Stabroek Sport yesterday McKinnon said:  “Right now I think my mind is all set and made up for the journey and I wouldn’t be ignorant in saying that it is not a long way to go.”

Mc Kinnon praised Stabroek News, NCN Ch11 and HBTV Ch9 saying that  it was through the publicity from these media houses that his vision has reached homes in several parts of Guyana.
