Beacon Ministries-West Demerara Athletics Club in collaboration with the Enmore Athletics Club will be hosting a road relay and a development meet today at the Wales Community Centre Ground, West Bank Demerara.

The road relay which begins at 8:30am will be made possible with help from the Region Three Democratic Council and athletes will  commence the race from Stanleytown and finish at the Wales Community Centre ground.

After the road relay the action gets underway on the track with a scheduled 9:30am start involving a number of clubs such as Rising Stars, Royal Youth Movement, Silver Bullet, Police Sports Club, Running Brave, EAC Mercury Fast Lanners, Rural Heights N.A Track Club and Bedford All Stars. In addition several schools have made their intention clear that they will also be competing.

Events will range from the under-13 to open and each participant is limited to two individual events and they will be required to pay $100 per event as registration fee.
