GCA action continues this weekend

Action on the local cricket scene following the visiting West Indies and England cricket teams encounter for the first two limited overs matches at the Guyana National Stadium last weekend  will resume in the first and second division competition of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA).

In the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Cellink Plus sponsored first division two-day competition, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) will face Transport Sports Club (TSC) at GCC and Everest and Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) will battle at GNIC.

Police Sports Club (PSC) and Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) along with Guyana Defence Force and Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) will also battle it out in this competition this weekend.

Meanwhile,  a date will be set for the replay of the PSC/GCC first round fixture.

In the Raymond Panday/Cummings Electrical sponsored second division competition three matches are scheduled with Everest and MSC clashing at GNIC, Ace Warriors and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport meeting at GNS and Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) and GNIC facing each other at GYO.

Chairman of the GCA’s Competitions Committee Shaun Massiah is asking all clubs to submit their match reports no later than 48 hours after the match has been completed.
