West Side Easter tournament kicks off tomorrow

Ten  teams will be vying for the $100,000 first prize when the West Side Cup Easter Knockout football tournament kicks off tomorrow at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground, West Coast Demerara.

The opening match in this tournament which will see over $200,000 in prizes and trophies being awarded will kick off at 16:00hrs between Crane and Wales.

Meanwhile, a double header is slated for the same venue on the  April 3 with Meten-Meer-Zorg and Stewartville clashing in the curtain raiser from 18:00hrs, followed by Uitvlugt and Young Achievers two hours later.

Another double header is slated for the same venue two days later, this time with Den Amstel and Beavers doing battle in the curtain raiser and Pouderoyen and the winner of the first match clashing in the second game of this double header.

The semi-finals will be played on the  April 9 while the final and third place playoff is set for  April 11  at the Uitvlugt ground.
The tournament will be played on a knockout basis with the winner carting off a trophy and $100,000  while the second and third place teams will pocket $50,000 and $30,000 each and a trophy respectively.
