Naeem Khalil led the way for Hague with a 13-ball 38 that included five sixes and two fours in a threatening partnership worth 57 runs with Khalid Mohamed (27) but both batsmen were removed in the space of four balls with the score on 98 in the sixth over.

HM’s run flow began to dry up as they could only manage to get 14 runs from the final four overs.
Leonora Masjid began their reply with positive running between the wickets, taking advantage of some loose fielding by the opposition and rattled along at around ten runs per over.

Amir Khan’s man-of-the-match performance of 59 was constructed from 25 balls and included seven sixes and a four.

He fell in the seventh over when he went for another six and was unfortunate to get out.

Leonora, however, kept going with Imaam Khan (18) and Ryan Rahoman (19) feasting in the middle and overhauled the target in the very next over to claim the West Demerara Zone trophy and go ahead in representing WD in the countrywide final which is to be announced later.
