Blackout scuppers Milo finals

New date April 28
The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) had the final say in the highly anticipated finals of the inaugural Milo Under 21 football tournament last evening.

Pele and Sunburst Camptown were down to face each other at the Tucville ground but lights went out in the area at 7:30 pm, before the start of play.

Secretary of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Marlon Cole, said that he immediately made contact with GPL and was told that power should return to the Tucville Community between 9 and 10 pm, however he said that since they were not given a specific time they immediately made a decision to reschedule the game.

Tuesday, April 28 is the re-scheduled date for the finals and Cole said that this time around, the GFA will be writing the power company informing it that the game will be played then.
