KINGSTON, Jamaica, (Reuters) – World record  sprinter Usain Bolt was being treated at a hospital near the  Jamaican capital yesterday after a motor vehicle accident, a  doctor said.

“He is being treated now, but it’s nothing serious and I  cannot say anything more,” a doctor at the Spanish Town  hospital west of Kingston told Reuters.

Early reports said that Bolt was involved in an accident  along Highway 2000, a highway on the outskirts of the capital.

It was not immediately known whether he was driving the BMW  sports car given to him by sponsors Puma in recognition of his  victories in the 100 meters, 200 meters and the 4×100 meters  relay, all in record time at the Beijing Olympic Games last  August.
