LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, (Reuters) – Louisiana Derby  winner Friesan Fire was the new on-track favourite for  today’s $2.2 million Kentucky Derby, supplanting morning  line front-runner I Want Revenge.

Friesan Fire, a Kentucky-bred son of A.P. Indy, moved to  9-2 yesterday after opening at 5-1, while Wood Memorial winner  I Want Revenge fell to third in wagering at 6-1.

General Quarters, trained by Louisville-based Tom McCarthy,  jumped to second in wagering at 5-1 after opening at 20-1.

Dunkirk and Pioneer of the Nile both opened at 4-1 for the  20-horse affair at Churchill Downs but fell to 8-1 and 9-1  respectively.
Atomic Rain was the long shot at 68-1.
