Wins for Maple and Powergen in WIPA T20 tournament

POINTE-A-PIERRE, Trinidad, CMC –  Barbados’ Maple Cricket Club and Powergen of Trinidad and Tobago recorded victories  on the opening night of the West Indies Players Association Twenty20 Club Champions League at Guaracara Park on Friday.

Scores:

MAPLE 109 for seven off 20 overs (Neval Grazette 23 ret.; Gary Mathurin 2-22, Adesh Dass 2-24) beat IHSAN INVADERS 98 all out off 19.2 overs (Barrington Yearwood 5-8, Kirk Brown 3-27, Reeco Headley 2-14) by 11 runs.

MELBOURNE 46 all out off 15.5 overs (Ravi Rampaul 3-2, Dave Mohammed 3-2, Samuel Badree 2-7) lost to Powergen 47 for one off 8.5 overs (Jason Mohammed 26 not out) by nine wicket.
