Thirty-five players have been called up by the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) to try out for a spot on Guyana’s team that will be competing in this year’s North American and West Indies Rugby Association (NAWIRA) Championship.

The event, which will be played in the Cayman Islands from July 4-11, is set to be a qualifier for the International Rugby Board (IRB) Under-20 2010 World Trophy.

The players will be placed under the watchful eyes of coaches Laurence Adonis and his assistant Theodore Henry.

The players called are:Treon Emptage, Soren Cox, Gordon Andrews, Lancelot Adonis, Jermaine Abel, Clinton Mars,  Rudolph Ogle,  Rondell McArthur,  Terry Adams, Allain Crawford,  Ryan Dojoy,   Colin Billingy,  Quincy Jones, Yannick Jones, Rickford Cummings, Gavin Thompson, Javier Butcher, Lloydan Layne, Clive Richmond, Kevon Campbell and  Trevor Mathieson, Mark Sobers, Jermaine Jacobs, Joseph Weatherspoon, Rupert Giles, Nicholas Northey, Henry Jordan, Dennis Alexander, Claude Alexander, Christopher Nicholas, Vallon Adams, Twain Hemerding, Mark Massiah, Richard Coates and Jamaal Yarde.
